Kadhi Recipe, how to Cook Indian Kadhi Pakora

Kadhi is an Indian recipe, cook in Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. It contains pakoras in a thick gravy of gram flour. It is much admired as a spicy food for the foreigners who visit the subcontinent.

Ingredients to Cook Kadhi Pakora

  • 1 kg Potato
  • 1 kg Gram flour (besan)
  • ½ kg Yogurt
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons of Red Chilli Powder
  • 4 to 5 Green Chilli
  • 1 small size Onion
  • 1 cup Oil
  • ½ teaspoon Fenugreek Seeds (Methi Dana)
  • Salt according to taste

How to Cook Kadhi

  1. Put 1 cup of oil in pan
  2. Add Fenugreek seeds in oil and fry for few seconds
  3. Add onion in oil and fry slowly
  4. When onion soothes then add green chillis, turmeric, red chilli powder and salt simultaneously
  5. Add yogurt and gram flour with 5 to 6 glasses of water in a bowl to make a thin lassi
  6. Pour the lassi in pan and put it on low flame for 2 ½ hours
  7. Your Kadhi is ready

For making Pakora

  1. Cut potatoes in finger chips style
  2. Wash them and add with spinach in a bowl
  3. Add gram flour, salt, red chilli powder in it and make a masala
  4. Fry them to make pakora
  5. Now add pakoras in Kadhi
  6. Your special and spicy Kadhi is ready to eat
